No High Scores: alive and kicking
The people behind Jumping The Shark – the official podcast for GameShark – have put together a blog called No High Scores. It’s worth checking out because it features the talents of Bill Abner, Todd Brakke, Brandon Cackowski-Schnell, Danielle Riendeau, and Michael Barnes. I love this group.
They are going to use the space to talk about video games, board games, life, toys, and more – basically anything that they love. It’s not going to be a catch-all like other sites where we might read about Mario cakes and how hawt the latest Japanese dating sim is..
There’s some interesting stuff on the site already including a Dead Space II review from Michael Barnes, some behind-the-scenes stuff from Jumping the Shark Producer Todd Brakke, Bill’s 2010 Top Ten Board Games List, Brandon’s odd column about recipes and video games (he’s a strange but lovable individual) and the first in a series of columns from Denielle on LittleBigPlanet 2 and her game design class.
It’s really hard for me to convey how much I like the crew over at GameShark; I worked there for a very long time and worked have with many of the people on this site. When I left three years ago I decided that I wanted Bill to take over and recommended him for the job. While it may not matter to him or anyone else over there, I feel like I made the right choice.
Anyway, I recommended you check out the new site, bookmark it and then read it regularly.

I ran across a new mini gaming site that has lots of categories and games. It allows its users
to compete and share their scores on the homepage. Numerous nice features; a sure favorite in my book. http://www.gamerkosmos.com
